In 2021, a few orders went out of the shop like any others. Well not like any others, they were much larger than the rest. 40 frames in total to hold over 1,000 cards. I also had no idea it would end up on camera in front of nearly two million people.

The Video

In 2022, YouTuber penguinz0, Charlie, also known online as Moistcr1tikal, a creator now with over 18 million subscribers, posted a video called "It's Time I Finally Admit It," walking through what he calls the most complete Yu-Gi-Oh collection on YouTube: every Ultra Rare and above ever printed, all in first edition.

The Collection

It's an enormous collection by any standard, a first edition Legend of Blue-Eyes White Dragon, a complete set of every Ghost Rare ever printed, all sixty Collector's Rares, hundreds of Ultimate Rares, a graded 1998 Mirror Force. Much of it is mounted and framed, hung on the walls behind him throughout the video.

The Shoutout

Among the frames on display was a full set of Starlight Rares, cards he'd pulled himself while streaming, framed by me. He didn't expect much going in, saying:

"I didn't even know Etsy had anything of decent quality."

before crediting Fabled Framing by name for how the frames turned out.

Why It Means a Lot

I build every frame the same way regardless of who's ordering it, whether it's a first pull someone's proud of, or, apparently, part of one of the most complete Yu-Gi-Oh collections that exists. Seeing it show up on a channel with millions of viewers was a genuine surprise, and a nice reminder of exactly who these frames are for: collectors who take their cards seriously.
