Every month brings a different mix of orders through my workshop. Some months it's all Pokémon, other months a lot of Yu-Gi-Oh. Here's what I've been seeing lately, and what I'd expect to be worth framing as new sets roll out.

What's Been Popular in the Workshop This Month

Pokémon and Magic: The Gathering remain the two I see the most of, as usual, but the real story this month is how much ground One Piece and Riftbound have picked up. Both have gone from occasional requests to a genuine, steady share of my orders.

One Piece in particular has been turning into some of my favourite work, the card art was pretty much made to be put in a frame. Here is my favourite one from the month. These cards are so vibrant, perfectly complementing the black frame. The background is looking equally appealing as well.

On the Magic side, Secret Lair drops continue to be some of the most requested pieces I get, not really surprising as they are the premier collectors product. This is a Dwarf Fortress Secret Lair! I didn't know that was a thing.

And for anyone still deciding between framing raw or graded: this PSA slab frame is a good example of how well a graded card holds up as a display piece in its own right. Some months I see a lot of modern Pokémon but August was definitely a vintage month.

What I'd Expect to Be Popular Coming Up

Pokémon 30th Celebration (Sept 16) - I'd expect this to be one of my busier months for Pokémon frames. I remember framing for the 25th Celebration set was steady for a couple of years. I'm hoping to pick up some of this, I just need to figure out how!

Yu-Gi-Oh: Beyond the Brave (Oct 9) - reimagined Joey Wheeler cards are pure nostalgia, not tournament staples, which almost always means people frame them rather than play them.

Magic: Reality Fracture (Oct 2) - a flavour-first "What If?" set tends to produce standout art independent of competitive relevance, usually a good sign for framing demand.

One Piece [OP-17] (Aug 28) - With the latest One Piece set just releasing I expect to see another influx of this as people acquire their chase cards. I have seen a few of these cards and as always One Piece does not disappoint with the explosions of colour which perfectly complements my black frames.

Riftbound x T1 2025 Worlds Champion Signature Edition (Aug) - There are only 10125 English sets of these cards. They already come in a slick acrylic display out of the box so I'm not sure if anyone will be framing them but I can hope!
